MultiSport strengthens its position on foreign markets

• At the end of the first half of 2018, the total number of MultiSport cards in Poland and on foreign markets amounted to 1,097,300
• Sales revenues of the Benefit Systems Group in the first half of 2018 increased by 28.5 percent, amounting to PLN 588 million
• The operating profit of the Benefit Group in this period amounted to PLN 64.6 million, which is an increase by 36.6 percent y/o/y.

- We finished the first half of the year very strongly. We are satisfied with the growth in Poland. The foreign markets are also growing dynamically, with the number of sports cards nearly doubling during the year. This shows that our original Polish business model also does very well in other markets, says Izabela Walczewska-Schneyder, Board member at Benefit Systems.

At the end of the first half of 2018, there were nearly 920,000 MultiSport card users in Poland, which is an increase of 14.5 percent, compared to the end of the first half of 2017. The number of cards on foreign markets in this period increased by nearly 86 percent, reaching 177,700. The increase in the number of cards during this period was partially the result of effective sales activities, which are supported by the current active lifestyle trend, as well as a social campaign increasing the appeal of the card and allowing users to be active all year round. Revenues of the Sports Cards segment (card sales in Poland) in the first half of 2018 amounted to PLN 417 million and were higher by 17percent y/o/y, while the revenues of the Foreign segment during this period amounted to PLN 93 million, which is an increase of 134 percent y/o/y.

As part of activities ensuring access to proper sports infrastructure for the growing number of MultiSport card users, the Benefit Systems Group acquired fourteen S4 clubs this past April, increasing the number of facilities belonging to the companies managed by the Group to 110 throughout the country. The Fitness segment in the discussed period reached PLN 117.4 million in sales revenues (+ 54.1percent y/o/y). The Fitness segment complements the Sports Cards segment - newly opened clubs guarantee more space, which significantly increases the attractiveness of the offer for sports card users.

The Cafeteria segment, i.e. MultiKafeteria and MyBenefit platforms, responsible for the distribution of additional non-payroll benefits in the area of sports, culture and tourism, including the Benefit Systems Group’s own products, noted an increase in the number of users, at the end of this past June, to over 318,000. (+55,000 y/o/y). The turnover of MyBenefit and MultiKafeteria totalled PLN 124.7 million during this period, an increase of 20.5 percent y/o/y.
