In 2018 Benefit Systems, as the first public company in Poland as well as in CEE, received B Corp Certification. The group of Benefit Corporation companies includes organisations that have incorporated the principles of corporate social responsibility into their business model, engage in solving the most important social problems, and the basis for their operation is a partnership and ethical model of cooperation with all their stakeholders. There are over 3,300 companies from 150 industries all over the world that have met the requirements of B Corp Certification and received the distinction awarded by the international non-governmental organisation, B Lab.
As part of the certification process, B Lab conducts a detailed analysis of the company's operations and its environment. To be certified, a company must get a certain number of pointsin five categories: corporate governance, employment policy, impact on local communities, customer relations and environmental protection. The prerequisite for certification is not only a declaration of actions, but also presenting documents that confirm the results of the undertaken initiatives and their long-term nature as part of the company's business strategy. Benefit Systems got the best result in such categories as employment policy analysis, community support index and in the environmental protection. Fit Invest, a company that belongs to the Benefit Systems Capital Group, as well as foreign subsidiaries operating in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Slovakia have also gone through the certification process.
