The Group maintains a good growth in the number of sports cards and revenues.

We have had a good quarter, in which we have obtained satisfactory results. We maintain the sales growth of sports cards, continue to invest in the networks of fitness clubs, and, thanks to the carried out reorganisation, the cafeteria segment reached the break-even point, concludes Izabela Walczewska-Schneyder, a member of the Management Board of Benefit Systems.

At the end of the first quarter of 2016, Benefit Systems Group had more than 677,000 active sports cards (a 19.1% change year to year). MultiSport Benefit, a company responsible for selling sports cards on the Czech market, increased their number in the first quarter to a level of 29,000. The Group continues its activities related to the development of the sports cards offer on the Slovakian and Bulgarian markets, where new customers are being acquired.

The fitness segment generated PLN 18 million sales revenues in the first quarter of this year. The network of investment fitness clubs increased in this period by 4 new clubs, increasing its total number to 70 facilities. The Group's investments in networks of fitness clubs are aimed to further develop the already attractive offer of sports and recreation facilities for the sport card users.

In the first quarter, MyBenefit and MultiKafeteria cafeteria platforms were used by more than 200,000 users, which means an increase of more than 40,000 users compared to the corresponding period in 2015. Turnover on the cafeteria platforms amounted to PLN 40.7 million (an increase by 234%).

In total, in the first quarter of this year, the sales revenues of the Benefit Group increased by 34.6% year on year, reaching a value of PLN 172.3 million. In the period in question, the EBITDA of the Group amounted to PLN 15.6 million, with a net profit of PLN 8.3 million.
