What is the scope of video monitoring?
Areas and premises under video monitoring are appropriately marked (e.g., with a camera symbol). As part of the monitoring system, we process data of individuals within the range of our installed cameras. These data may include your image and other information visible in the recordings, such as unique features or specific behaviors.

Why and on what basis do we process your personal data?
We process your personal data via video monitoring to fulfill the following purposes:
- Legitimate interests of Benefit Systems (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), including:
a. Ensuring the safety of individuals on the premises.
b. Protecting the property of Benefit Systems and individuals on the premises.
c. Establishing, pursuing, or defending claims when necessary.
This ensures everyone on our premises feels safe, their property is secure, and we can maintain high standards of service. If theft, property damage, or a similar incident occurs, we may use video recordings to assert our rights or secure evidence for authorities. -
Compliance with legal obligations (legal basis: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR), including:
a. Providing data to authorized state authorities upon lawful and documented requests.
b. Fulfilling GDPR-related rights such as granting access to recordings upon request.
For example, if law enforcement or other authorized authorities request specific recordings during an investigation, we must comply. Similarly, if you exercise your rights under GDPR (e.g., access to your data), we may need to secure recordings for you.
How long do we keep your personal data?
Your data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above, but no longer than one month from the date of recording.
If recordings serve as evidence in ongoing legal proceedings or Benefit Systems becomes aware they may serve as such, the retention period is extended until the proceedings are legally concluded.
