Robert Sokołowski serves as a President of the Management Board since September 21, 2026.
He is an experienced executive with more than 20 years of leadership experience across the insurance, fintech and strategic consulting sectors in Europe, including many years serving as Chief Executive Officer. He specializes in direct and digital sales, development of B2B2C business models, management of B2B partnerships, business transformation, and building and scaling organizations across international markets.
He began his professional career at McKinsey & Company, where between 2000 and 2007 he delivered strategic and operational projects for clients across several European countries and Australia.
From 2007 to 2009, he served as a Member of the Management Board of Liberty Direct, where he was responsible for the development of the direct business model. He subsequently founded and developed the Proama brand from the ground up. Within four years, Proama acquired more than one million customers and generated revenues exceeding EUR 125 million. The company was later acquired by the Generali Group.
As Chief Executive Officer of Generali Poland, he managed a business generating revenues of more than EUR 500 million and serving approximately 2.5 million customers through multiple distribution channels, including a network of more than 5,000 insurance agents.
In subsequent years, he joined Croatia Osiguranje, Croatia’s largest insurance company, where he led a restructuring process that resulted in a significant improvement in operational performance.
Between 2018 and 2021, as Global Head of Direct at Zurich Insurance Group, he was responsible for direct sales operations across nine markets, managing a portfolio with gross written premiums of approximately USD 1.6 billion.
From 2021 to 2026, he served as Group CEO of Netrisk Group. Through the execution of a buy-and-build strategy involving ten acquisitions, he transformed Netrisk Group into a comparison platform operating across six Central European countries, serving more than 3.5 million customers annually and facilitating insurance policy sales exceeding PLN 4 billion per year. During this period, he increased the Group’s revenues eightfold, approximately quintupled its profit, and expanded headcount from 130 to more than 1,200 employees. Robert Sokołowski also developed a B2B2C marketplace-based business model and initiated the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions in sales and customer service processes.
He holds an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Master’s degree in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
