Benefit Systems consolidates fitness assets

Benefit Systems S.A., as previously announced, transferred shares from entities operating fitness clubs to a subsidiary Fit Invest sp. z o.o., in which Benefit Systems S.A. holds 100% of shares. The transfer of assets was in the form of a contribution of assets by way of non-financial contributions and in sales transactions.

Starting in Q1 2015, the fitness activity in the Benefit Systems Group will be separated and presented as an additional operating segment.

The consolidation of the fitness assets in the new company is the result of the consistent implementation of our strategic actions, which are aimed at a more effective management of this segment and a long-term support of the development of the MultiSport program, says Tomasz Józefacki, President of the Management Board of Benefit Systems S.A. It is also another step within the framework of the process of ordering the Group, within which so far assets of the segment of new products have been transferred to a separate company. We assume that the implemented organisational changes will, on one hand, improve the cost-effectiveness on the level of the Group and, on the other hand, will have a positive impact on our business activities, he adds.

Currently the fitness segment in the Benefit Systems Group includes shares in companies with a total of 47 clubs, including: Calypso Fitness with its subsidiaries and affiliates 23 clubs, Fabryka Formy 10 clubs, Zdrofit 9 clubs, Fitness Academy 5 clubs. By the end of 2016 Benefit Systems plans to reach a total of 70 clubs.

We maintain our development strategy of the fitness segment through further investments in the development of our network of clubs. The plan of introducing Fit Invest to the stock exchange will depend on the rate of growth of the segment and the obtained financial results. In our opinion, this is a prospect of at least 2-3 years, addsTomasz Józefacki.
